The club’s mission is to promote canoeing in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The goal is for as many people as possible to experience the joy of canoeing through the activities organized by HKK, in a way that suits their own abilities and needs.
The recreational activities organized directly by the Helsinki Canoe Club focus on recreational, fitness, and touring canoeing.
The guiding principle of our financial operations is to collect enough dues from our members to meet HKK’s direct financial obligations and ensure that the club remains on a stable financial footing. The reason membership and other fees are kept low is that members participate in shared activities—we don’t want to think that “money talks and canoes get you there.”
